It was in my first and only trip (up to now) to NYC... I spent an entire week being surrounded by enormous building, feeling the immensity of the city all around me, it was exhilarating ! But it's at the high point of my trip (literally!), on top of the Empire State Building that I realized that New York City was as small as it was big: from there, highest tower became human sized, human and cars like ants, and the streets stretching far away like it was the earth itself. From the top of this world, when you stand as a giant and the world is but a scale model to you.

This is my very first attemp at "cinematographic" photography. I like it, I should do more ! This is a view of NYC from the top of the Empire State Building. The aspect ratio of the image is 16:9, letterboxed to 2.39:1.
I'm not expert to this, but would the effect be more "succesful" with an another ratio? Say, 4:3 and 1.85:1 ?
There is also, you can see it some tilt shift !
**EDIT June 30th 2011** Wow, thanks for the DD and all the love people !
I've had one request for print, and one just enough for me to acte so I've just uploaded a 300dpi version of this file and Print is on it's way. It's crazy, getting dpi up, how much details sometime just appear ouf of nowhere!
